‘Embarrassing’: Pakistan Cricket Fans Troll Their Own Team After Shocking Defeat to India – News18
In what can only be described as an epic showdown, the India-Pakistan match turned into a thrilling roller-coaster. The Men in Blue pulled off a stunning victory just when it seemed Pakistan had the game in hand, defending a low total with sheer grit and magic.
After losing the toss, India faced a fierce Pakistani bowling attack. The innings saw a rocky start, with only Rishabh Pant standing tall as the rest of the batsmen faltered, posting a modest total of 119 runs in 19 overs. Pakistan began their chase with confidence, but the tide quickly turned as Indian bowlers tightened their grip. Despite a strong start in the first 10 overs, Pakistan’s batting line-up struggled to keep the momentum. Jasprit Bumrah’s spectacular bowling earned him the well-deserved Man of the Match title, as his spell was crucial in turning the game around.
On the other hand, individual brilliance from players like Naseem Shah, who fought valiantly till the end, couldn’t save Pakistan from a narrow defeat. The match concluded with Pakistan falling just six runs short, ending at 113 for 7 in 20 overs.

The aftermath has been a mix of memes and disappointed reactions from Pakistani fans, who are frustrated by their team’s consecutive losses. One fan expressed his dismay on ‘X,’ saying, “I’m done with this team. You can’t defend 160 against the USA. You can’t chase a run-a-ball game against India. This is embarrassing. I have no words to express my feelings for this team,” wrote one user on ‘X’.” Another suggested, “Before any player comes into the Pakistan team. They should do 2 tests. 1) fitness test, 2) IQ test. No one plays more brainless cricket than our team.”
No doubt, Pakistan now finds themselves in a precarious position with 0 points after two matches, making their qualification chances slim. The Babar Azam-led side must win their remaining matches against Canada and Ireland while hoping that the United States and Canada do not secure any more victories.
