Emergency services attending the scene of serious Annagassan collision
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area

Emergency services have been attending the scene of a serious collision in County Louth.
It was reported on the R166 Annagassan around 9 o’clock this morning
Paramedics, fire and rescue personnel and gardaí responded while the Department of Transport has confirmed that the Dublin-based Coast Guard Rescue helicopter Rescue 116 airlifted a casualty to the Phoenix Park for transit to the Mater Hospital.
Coast Guard units from Clogherhead and Howth were also tasked to the incident.
The road remains closed and traffic diversions are in place.
