England will begin their T20I World Cup defence against Scotland on Tuesday. The reigning champions recently squared off against Pakistan in a T20I series at home. The Englishmen thrashed Pakistan 2-0 to clinch the four-match series. Two of those matches were washed away due to rain. In their last T20I fixture, England bowled first against the Babar Azam-led side. The trio of Mark Wood, Adil Rashid and Liam Livingstone combined for six wickets to curb Pakistan at 157 runs.

Chasing the target, Phil Salt added a lighting-fast 45 in just 24 balls, while skipper Jos Buttler contributed with a 39-run knock. The duo’s heroics were enough to help the home side seal a comfortable 7-wicket win. They will now be looking to continue that momentum against Scotland at the World Cup.

England’s T20 World Cup fixture against Scotland will be played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 4. Scotland recently competed in two warm-up matches ahead of the T20 World Cup but lost both of them. They will be looking to bounce back against the Jos Buttler-led side on Tuesday.
