England team news against Denmark ‘leaked’ as Gareth Southgate makes some big calls
England’s line-up against Denmark has been ‘leaked’ as Gareth Southgate has made some big calls.
England kicked off their Euro 2024 campaign with a big win over Serbia on Sunday.
Jude Bellingham headed home the only goal of the game as fans and critics alike slammed the Three Lions’ showing in Gelsenkirchen.
England resume their German venture tomorrow when they face Denmark in Frankfurt.
Southgate has already been dealt a major injury blow ahead of their second Group C clash.
Despite England coming in for criticism for their overall performance against Serbia, Southgate is going to stick to his guns and name an unchanged side for Thursday’s game, according to journalist Sam Mokbel.
Even though Phil Foden and Trent Alexander-Arnold came under fire against Serbia, the England boss is expected to keep faith with the pair.
Foden starred for Manchester City last season as Pep Guardiola deployed him in a more central role.
But he started on the left wing against Serbia as Bellingham occupied the No.10 position.
As for Alexander-Arnold, he started in central midfield ahead of the likes of Conor Gallagher, Kobbie Mainoo and Adam Wharton, having played at right-back for Liverpool last season.
Despite Foden and Alexander-Arnold receiving criticism, Southgate is set to start both of them against Denmark in an unchanged XI.

On Foden’s showing against Serbia, Southgate said: “I thought Phil did an incredible job for the team on Sunday.
“You know, sometimes the bits with the ball are obvious and they catch the eye, but the amount of ground he covered, the angles of pressing, the filling in for people who were further forward.
“I thought without Phil’s contribution without the ball – and I know that’s not the sexy bit and everybody wants to see him on the ball – I don’t think we win the game.
“So then later in the game when we needed somebody to retain the ball and take the pressure, I thought he did that really well for us.”
