Erin McGregor eyes up US mag deal for rights to her wedding

Conor, who celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday, is set to be the main VIP guest at his big sister’s wedding to singer Terry Kavanagh in August

The Dancing With The Stars and panto figure has told friends an American publisher is set to buy the rights to her wedding for “megabucks” due to the star power of her brother Conor McGregor.

Conor, who celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday, is set to be the main VIP guest at his big sister’s wedding to singer Terry Kavanagh in August.

According to sources, the couple, who have a seven-year-old son, Harry, are believed to be having their wedding reception at the plush Cashel Palace Hotel in Co. Tipperary.

Erin (42), who also has a grown-up daughter, Taylor, from a previous relationship, recently went on her white-themed hen party to Saint Tropez in France.

Terry, who sings at weddings, funerals and pub gigs, had his stag party in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, last month.

Conor and Erin also have another sister, Aoife, who is currently dating convicted criminal Graham ‘The Wig’ Whelan, who has links to the Kinahan cartel.

She was previously married to Mark Elliot, who told the Sunday World in 2021 the couple split primarily because she wanted kids and he didn’t (he is already father to two grown-up children).

The siblings’ parents, Tony and Margaret, are also set to sit at the top table at the bash in Co. Tipperary. Rooms at the five-star hotel start from an average of €400 a night.

“It’s right in the centre of town, even though online pictures look like it’s out in the countryside,” said one local.

“Its main car park is open to the general public and is regularly used by people going shopping in the town.”

A Palladian manor built in 1732, the hotel is surrounded by stunning gardens and also boasts a Michelin-star restaurant, The Bishop’s Buttery.

The Cashel Palace has become a draw for celebrities in recent years.

Irish rugby star Robbie Henshaw married his wife, Sophie Marren, there in March.

Former Munster player JJ Hanrahan also chose the hotel for his wedding reception with Fabienne Green in 2022.

Roz Purcell celebrated her engagement last August to Zach Desmond at the hotel too.

The hotel is owned by billionaire Coolmore stud owner John Magnier and his wife Susan, and reopened in 2022 after undergoing huge renovations over the previous seven years.

Conor himself has still to fix a date for his wedding to Dee Devlin, to whom he got engaged in 2020 after 12 years together. The couple have three children, Conor Jnr (seven), Croia (five), Rian (three) and Mack (one).

McGregor is approaching the status of billionaire, having made hundreds of millions from UFC fights, his boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather, his whiskey and stout brands, as well as other promotional tie-ins.

He also bought pubs like the Black Forge and the Marble Arch in Dublin’s south inner city, and the Waterside in Howth, with a huge development of apartment blocks in Drimnagh that he is building nearly ready for rent.

He also boasted during the week about placing a huge bet of more than €80,000 on Spain to win the European football championships.

The MMA star hopes though to get a massive one million-plus payout if the Spanish win the Euros.

‘The Notorious’, who confirmed on Friday he has pulled out of his scheduled UFC fight later this month in Las Vegas against Michael Chandler due to injury, placed his huge bet with online firm Duelbits. His exact stake is €83,5000 at 11/1

And he’s obviously calculated his bet to give him a one million-plus payout if he comes up trumps, as the amount of money he’d win if Spain triumphs in Euro ’24 is €1,002,000.

“Vamos Spain!,” boasted McGregor in a social media posting. “Easy money on the Spaniards to win the Euros on my birthday! A nice mil for the Mac!”
