Exclusive: Value of Keating’s London home soars after massive rebuild

Crooner Ronan Keating could likely have increased the value of his English country abode to the tune of €700,000 Euros.

The singer and wife Storm snapped up the Beechan House, a five-bedroom manor located in the upmarket town of Rickmansworth, on the outskirts of London in April 2016 for £2.4m (€2.8m euros).

Just three months after getting the keys for their family home, the Keatings applied for planning permission to demolish the existing structure and build a modern eco-friendly house in its place.

Now some eight years after the massive rebuild, reputable property tracking websites in the UK have detailed that the property has risen in value by some €700,000.

The couple didn’t cut any corners when it came to the build as they tasked top quantity surveyor Seamus Cooley, whose impressive portfolio includes work in Kensington Palace, to help with the design.

However quality doesn’t come cheap; the renovation costs listed by the surveyors’ show it cost £1.6m to make their dream home a reality.

The road to the dream home also proved a testing process for the pair.

In 2023 the Keatings took issue with the firm who had fitted the windows in the house.

Storm raised a ruckus when she took to her Instagram page maintaining one of their huge glass windows shattered while they were sleeping.

Storm raged against the company accusing them of ‘appalling behaviour’ and claiming the window glazing company were ‘trying to wriggle out of replacing’ the giant sheet of glass.

Storm shared a photo as proof of the shattered window which showed her children Cooper drew a family portrait with their fingers.

‘Chilly Saturday morning,’ she wrote in the caption with a snowflake emoji.

‘Yes glass shouldn’t frost up like this – it’s just that this is a single pane because the other one shattered a few weeks ago in the middle of the night while we were sleeping,’ she continued.

‘The glazing company (refraining from naming and shaming just yet) is trying to wriggle out of replacing it despite promising (in writing and on their quote) a 10-year comprehensive warranty. Appalling behaviour.’

The Aussie fashion designer said that she and Ronan are ‘concerned’ that the unnamed company are [sic] ripping other families off, so they ‘want to get to the bottom’ of the issue.

‘We’re concerned that this company (there is a history of other things) do this kind of thing to innocent families all over the UK, families that are less inclined to push back/ know their rights/ or have the ability to engage a solicitor,’ she wrote.

Ever so helpful Storm then disseminated what she termed a ‘vital piece of information for everyone in the UK’ about the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
