Experts warning ‘Siberian weather event’ hitting Ireland as Met Eireann update
Leading weather experts have warned of a “Siberian” beast from the east weather front this coming winter with blizzard-like conditions a possibility.
While temperatures this summer have been well below average, what we’re facing during winter 2024 is a whole other beast.
You can’t help but look forward and hope for some improvement but if the beast from the east comes to fruition, we should expect ice-cold temperatures and plenty of snow.

Leading weather expert Matt Wolves is hopeful that the second half of summer could deliver better weather than what we’ve experienced so far. But, as he checked the forecast he couldn’t help but look at what we may be facing in winter. All he found was a “true Siberian beast from the east.”
He tweeted: “Hopefully the 2nd part of summer will deliver something special…and then…I have one eye on winter…if we can pull a few charts like this out of the bag come December January February it’s gonna be fun. True Siberian beast from the East.”
