FG candidate withdraws following planning allegations
A Fine Gael candidate for the local elections in Co Louth has pulled out after she apologised following a report which made allegations regarding her withdrawal of a planning objection.
Marian Agrios said “What occurred was wrong and I am extremely sorry for it. It should not have happened.”
She added: “While my name remains on the ballot paper, I now ask that voters do not consider me for election.”
Ms Agrios was a candidate for the party for the Drogheda Rural local electoral area in Co Louth.

In her statement she apologised for a second time and added that she will not be making any further comment on this issue.
