Fixtures confirmed for FAI Cup second round
Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers will meet in the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup second round on Friday, 19 July, it has been confirmed.
The meeting between the Dublin rivals will be one of two all-Premier Division ties on the night, along with the Louth derby between Drogheda United and Dundalk at Weavers Park.
Galway United will host Longford Town on the same evening, while non-league outfit Cockhill Celtic will make the journey from Donegal to face Waterford. All ties on July 19 will kick off at 7.45pm.
Saturday, July 20 will see Cork City host Finn Harps at 5pm, following two all non-league ties at 3pm in the form of Pike Rovers v Midletown and Wilton United v Carrigaline United.
Holders St Patrick’s Athletic will begin the defence of their trophy away to Derry City on Sunday, 21 July with a 6pm kick-off at the Brandywell, the same time as Sligo Rovers host Cobh Wanderers at The Showgrounds.
Damien Duff will take his league leaders Shelbourne to Bray Wanderers on the same day for a 3pm kick-off.
