Food products sold in Tesco, M&S, SuperValu, & Aldi recalled over safety fears
A recall has been issued for various food products sold in Irish supermarkets.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is warning customers to check their cupboards and fridges for the implicated items. These products were sold in shops across Ireland including Tesco, M&S, SuperValu, and Aldi.
Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches. Here is a full of implicated products:

Spuddy’s Irish Crisps
The following batches of Spuddy’s Irish Crisps sold in Aldi are being recalled due to the possible presence of rubber pieces.
- Spuddy’s Cheese and Onion Flavour Irish Crisps (6 x 25g pack)
- Spuddy’s Irish Potato Crisps assorted flavours (24 x 25g pack)
Both have the best-before date of 26/07/2024
Al’Fez Natural Tahini
All batches of Al’Fez Natural Tahini are being recalled due to the possible presence of Salmonella. People infected with Salmonella typically develop symptoms between 12 and 36 hours after infection, but this can range between 6 and 72 hours.
The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission. The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
Provence Banon AOP (Raw Milk Goats’ Cheese)
The following batches of Etoile de Provence Banon AOP (raw milk goats’ cheese) are being recalled due to the presence of Yersinia enterocolitica: pack size 100g; best before dates: 12/07/2024 & 19/07/2024
