Football latest as England and Scotland begin Euros warm-up matches

Right, so let’s take stock.

As you may have guessed from today’s national newspapers, the Euros build-up starts here.

England face Bosnia-Herzegovina tonight at St James’ Park in Newcastle (19:45 BST) in the first of two pre-tournaments friendlies, while Scotland face Gibraltar in the Estadio Algarve in Portugal (17:00).

As we have been hearing, Gareth Southgate has a few injury issues to contend with, but none as serious as Scotland head coach Steve Clarke, who says he will take “two or three days” to decide whether to call up a replacement for QPR forward Lyndon Dykes.
