Former Clinton High student-athlete commits to JSU women’s basketball
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Head basketball coach Margaret Richards and Jackson State women’s basketball have earned yet another commitment ahead of the 2024-25 season.
On Thursday, Clinton High School and Itawamba Community College grad Arianna Durrell announced her intentions to play for JSU.
Durrell averaged 10.8 points per game and shot 40 percent from behind the arc last season at Itawamaba. She was named to the second-team All-MACCC.
The Clinton native graduated from Clinton High School in 2022 and played a year at Meridian Community College before her stop at ICC.
Durrell is set to join JSU commits Zaria Glover and Tierney Kelsey, along with signees Kristina Ekofo Yomane, Diaka Berete, and Jaileyah Cotton.
The Lady Tigers have won three SWAC Tournament Championships in the last four seasons and five consecutive regular-season SWAC titles.
