Former Limerick captain believes there’s more to come from John Kiely’s men

Former Limerick captain James Ryan believes there’s more All Irelands in this current crop.

The drive for five was ended at the hands of Cork at the All Ireland semi-final stages at the hands of Cork at Croke Park on Sunday evening.

Ryan says Limerick will be back competing at the top table again..

“Any team who has ever been in this position, they win one or two on the way down. I’m not saying that they hand them out like that but they always win one or two on the way down. The biggest hope you’d have after this crop of players go is that Limerick is known as a hurling county, you’re in there in the mix with your Corks, Tipps, Kilkennys and Limerick is a name said that if you get over the line against Limerick you’re half way there. These boys have created that and it’s just unbelievable.”
