French Open order of play: Day 3 schedule with Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka in action
Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka begin their French Open campaigns as the first-round matches come to an end on Tuesday.
Djokovic was in the crowd watching on as Rafael Nadal was beaten by Alexander Zverev on Monday, and the world number one now gets his chance to take centre stage as he takes on Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the night session.
Earlier in the day, second seed Sabalenka, arguably the biggest threat to Iga Swiatek’s hopes of a third straight Roland Garros title, faces Erika Andreeva, while Elena Rybakina faces Greet Minnen.
Four British players have been knocked out already and the final two standing are both in action, looking to reach the second round. Dan Evans is the underdog against Holger Rune, and Katie Boulter faces a tough opening clash against Paula Badosa.
