Daily horse racing tips

  • SANDOWN
    3.15: Prince Maxi 13/2 Each-way (1.5pts)
  • CHESTER
    2.50: Dukes Of Haather 5/2 (1.5pts)
  • YORK
    3.00: Midream 17/2 Each-way (1pt)

Prince Maxi

Wisper has had two respectable runs in defeat this season when second to The African Queen at Brighton in a fillies handicap in April, while carrying close to 2stone more than the winner, despite only being rated a few lbs higher.

This mare faces a couple of rivals that have form against each other; Sweet Reward was second here in April in the Millennium Millionaire Handicap ahead of the reopposing Gallant Lion and Prince Maxi.

Prince Maxi is still very unexposed and lightly raced as a four-year-old for owners Amo Racing and is appearing for the first time since having a gelding operation.

He’s had good runs in defeat and with the likelihood of settling much better now he can build on that win at Wolves back in February on the all-weather.

Dukes Of Haather

This two-year-old has gone well in defeat as well, having only had three runs.

But last time out was more encouraging and certainly has the better form, coming just behind Arabie, Zminiature and other respectable runners who’ve gone well since reappearing.

He plugged on for third in a thrilling finish at Newmarket last month behind Camera Shy and ought to keep this good form going.

This colt has the superior form on paper and should improve stepping up in trip again as he did last time out going from 5f to 6f.

Midream

Upped 9lb for her appearance at Haydock in listed company in May and that shouldn’t be big enough of a rise to stop her progressing.

She showed her ability as a four-year-old when winning on her seasonal debut at Doncaster by nearly five lengths.

Then held her own to come third of six in listed company amongst mid 90-114 rated fillies like Azure Blue and Got To Love A Grey.

That form bodes well for a horse still unexposed and is a great each-way price to back on that form.
