Furious Ian Poulter rants at British Airways for leaving his clubs at Heathrow

IAN POULTER launched a scathing rant about British Airways after they left his golf clubs at Heathrow Airport.

The golfer flew out to Houston, Texas ahead of a LIV Golf tournament this week.

But a tracker on his clubs showed that they had not left London, despite Poulter watching it go down the belt after checking in.

So an angry Poulter took to social media to slam British Airways for their failure.

He said: “FFS @British_Airways so disappointing. I checked in two hours 30 minutes before the flight. What could possibly be the excuse.

“Just received the email three hours into the flight. I wouldn’t have bothered flying if you’re not sending my golf clubs. Can’t swing fresh air.”

He continued: “Talk about p***ed off @British_Airways.

“The golf bag wasn’t over weight. I took it to over size and scanned it and watched it go down the belt. #Pathetic.”

Poulter, 48, also claimed his colleague Henrik Stenson’s golf clubs were also left behind at Heathrow.

The Brit had plenty to moan about once he got on the plane too, saying: “The guy in front is snoring so loud it’s permanent turbulence.”

Poulter will be hoping to forget about his nightmare journey when he tees off at the Golf Club of Houston on Thursday – if he gets his clubs in time.
