Further application submitted for glamping facility in County Waterford | WLRFM.com

An application has been submitted for a glamping facility in Cheekpoint.

A similar application submitted by the same applicant was withdrawn several weeks ago.

Colin and Ger Fennelly originally submitted an application in June to construct 6 services glamping pods at Coolbunia, Cheekpoint Co. Waterford.

However, the application was withdrawn.

Another application submitted on June 18th was incomplete, with a subsequent application then submitted last Wednesday.

The new application seeks to construct 5 serviced glamping pods, with all site development works needed to complement the development.

Waterford City and County Council refused planning for an extensive glamping development at Tramore Burrow from Aengus Rory Walsh last month, citing flood risk and the impact of climate change.

A decision is due back by August 27th.
