Galway pub delight as social media star stops by enjoying ‘beautiful city’
A Galway pub have been left surprised and thrilled this week after a social media star paid a visit to the city for a few pints.
Blogger and Instagram star Jason Hackett was in Galway to soak up the sunshine in the west and made sure to call in to one of the city’s most iconic pubs while he was here.
Taaffes Bar welcomed the creator, who is famed for his food, beer and drinks content on social media, on Saturday as they shared a snap of their meeting on social media.

The post read: “It’s was great to see @primemutton2000abfr call in for a few creamy pints earlier today. Looks like he’s enjoining our beautiful city.”
Elsewhere this week it seems that a hidden foodie gem in Galway is set to get a whole lot more popular after one influencer described the food on offer as drool-worthy.
That hidden gem is none other than The Hidden Asian Restaurant which is located in Glenanail and has been serving up some of the most delicious Asian food in Galway.
That’s a high bar to pass considering the quality of Asian food that’s already available in restaurants and takeaways throughout the county.
However, one of its offerings is better than most and that is the delicious spice bag. It’s a delicate balance that restaurants have to maintain when making the perfect spice bag. Too much spice and you destroy the flavour and make it a painful experience to eat, too litlte spice and you much as well just get your bang average bag of chips.
If the spice bag doesn’t cut it for you, then you should give the spicy box a go. Hidden Asian restaurant opened just a couple of weeks before Christmas 2023 and has enjoyed great success in the months that followed.
