Gardai launch investigation after John Gilligan associate attacked with machete
Gardai are probing a vicious attack today in which an associate of notorious mobster John Gilligan was attacked in broad daylight with a machete.
Shocking footage shows the man lying on the ground as he was repeatedly hit with the weapon.
He suffered serious injuries to his arms and was rushed to hospital for treatment, following the attack in Neilstown, Dublin, this afternoon.

Sources say the attack may be linked to an ongoing feud in the area.
Gardai confirmed they are investigating the incident.
A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: “Gardaí received report of an incident of assault that occurred at approximately 3:45pm today, Tuesday, 11th of June 2024 on Neilstown Road, Dublin 22.
“One male was conveyed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
