Garnacho’s brother makes Ten Hag feelings clear after Piers Morgan dig

Manchester United have opted to stick by Erik ten Hag following a review after their poor season and Alejandro Garnacho’s brother has backed the decision from the hierarchy

Alejandro Garnacho’s brother Roberto is thrilled to see Erik ten Hag remain as Manchester United‘s manager.

The Dutchman will stay on at Old Trafford following an end of season review that ended with the club’s bosses sticking by the ex-Ajax coach. There was doubt surrounding his position after a poor Premier League campaign, but victory in the FA Cup final helped him retain his role.




Ten Hag has been hampered by a host of underperforming players but Garnacho is among the few who have continued to improve. The youngster has enjoyed the backing of his manager and scored at Wembley last month to help deliver silverware to the red half of Manchester.

Garnacho has earned international honours off the back of his club exploits and his brother has backed the decision to stick by Ten Hag. He said on social media: “TEN HAG I LOVE YOU.”

The ex-Ajax boss has previously defended the club’s dire season. He’s often cited the lengthy injury list as a major contributing factor with United struggling for options at times, particularly in defence where their resources were greatly tested. Their summer signings also took time to get up to speed with the top flight.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co took that into consideration when sticking by Ten Hag. That didn’t stop them from sounding out possible alternatives and having discussions. Thomas Tuchel spoke with the hierarchy after he left Bayern Munich, but ruled himself out.

Mauricio Pochettino has previously been linked with the job but wasn’t pursued, even after he left Chelsea. Thomas Frank and Roberto De Zerbi were among the other options United considered before the review saw them decide to stick with the status quo.
