GS Women’s Tennis to host ITA Summer Series event July 19-21

Georgia Southern and the Wallis Tennis Center will play host to the ITA Summer Points Race Series on July 19-21, hosting singles and doubles competition as a part of the ITA’s 2024 Summer Series.

The ITA created the Summer Series to provide current collegiate players and incoming first-year student-athletes the chance to compete in the summer months; however, these events are categorized as open, meaning anyone, including high-level juniors and adults, is eligible to compete as long as they are current ITA members.

All ITA Summer Points Race Series results are automatically sent to the ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) database.

“We are very excited to host the ITA Summer Circuit here at Georgia Southern this July 19-21,” Georgia Southern head women’s tennis coach Sean McCaffrey said. “It’s a wonderful honor to be hosting this event and with a vibrant and robust tennis community we fully expect an exciting weekend of elite level tennis on display here in Statesboro. We are happy to invite our student-athletes along with some of the strongest college tennis talent from all over the US for a weekend full of tennis you won’t want to miss.”

The event will feature both singles and doubles competition. For more information or to sign up, click here.
