Property developer Hongkong Land has announced a $400 million (€374 million) investment to launch the “Tomorrow’s Central” project, a transformation of the Landmark shopping complex, with an additional $600 million (€561 million) expected from retail tenants. The venue will remain open throughout the three-year construction period.
The Landmark, located in central Hong Kong, is home to luxury brands such as Cartier , Chanel , Dior , Hermès , Louis Vuitton , Prada , Saint Laurent , Sotheby’s , Tiffany & Co, and Van Cleef & Arpels .
Anchor tenants will double their footprint to over 21,000 square metres, offering retail concepts ranging from two to eight floors. The focus will be on creating a luxury destination with haute couture ateliers, private dining concepts, bespoke concierge services and VIP lounges.
A jewelry and watch boulevard , a world dedicated to beauty and contemporary fashion, as well as immersive spaces dedicated to art are also planned. The shopping centre will retain more than 200 tenants, including emerging brands.
For this renovation, the developer specifies that sustainable materials will be favoured, such as low-carbon concrete.
