Huawei MatePad SE 11 debuts with stylus – GSMArena.com news
Huawei launched its original MatePad SE back in 2022 as a nice and affordable device that had all of the basics down. Now, there’s seemingly a 2024 version, dubbed the MatePad SE 11.
As the name suggests, the display has been expanded to 11 inches in diagonal. It is still an LCD with a FullHD+ resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which is a nice and modern 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio has been upgraded to 85%, meaning the bezels are noticeably thinner. The display promises a peak brightness of 400 nits, which is decent for indoor use, a 1400:1 contrast ratio, 16.7 million colors, 100% coverage of the sRGB color space and a special eBook mode for reading.
The tablet measures 252.3 x 163.8 x 6.9mm and tips the scale at 475 grams. The body is made of metal. It comes in two color options – Crystal Blue and Nebula Gray. It is powered by a Kirin 710A or a Snapdragon 680 chipset, depending on the region and runs HarmonyOS 2.0 with features like multi-window, multi-screen collaboration, seamless data transfer and screen sharing. The chip is paired with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, and RAM options include 4GB, 6GB and 8GB.
A 7,700 mAh battery keeps the lights on, complete with 22.5W of charging. Other features include a quad-speaker Huawei Histen 9.0 audio system, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and a Type-C port with Host/OTG support. You also get an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing one. The MatePad SE 11 has stylus support (Huawei M-Pen lite) for writing, drawing and note-taking. We also know that the tablet has gravity and ambient light sensors.
No word on cost or availability as of yet, though.
