Huge excitement in Ballymun as Lotto player scoops €6 million jackpot

There has been huge excitement in Ballymun as a Lotto player scooped €6 million in Saturday night’s draw.

The Lidl Store on the Ballymun Road in Dublin 9 was revealed as the selling location of Saturday’s winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth €6,788,177.

“There is great excitement in store this morning, we are absolutely thrilled to share this life changing moment with the winner and to have sold the winning ticket in Lidl Ballymun,” store manager Sun Haojun said.

“On behalf of the entire team at Lidl, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the lucky winner.

“Not only is this incredible news for them, but it’s extremely exciting for the whole Ballymun community.”

Saturday’s winner was the fifth Lotto jackpot winner this year so far, following wins by players in Dublin (2), Louth and Limerick.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the latest Lotto jackpot winner has made contact and arrangements are now being made for Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire to visit Lotto HQ to collect their life-changing amount.

Just two weeks ago, another National Lottery player in Dublin 9 became a millionaire after scooping the top prize of €1 million in the Daily Million draw at 9pm on Sunday 16th June. The winning ticket was bought at Nan’s Centra on the Shangan Road.
