‘I was only a child, I couldn’t cope’ – Wexford man who plied teenage step-daughter with cocaine is jailed

A 41-year-old man who plied his step-daughter with cocaine was jailed for two and a half years on conviction for ill-treatment of a 15-year-old.

The offender dealt with at Wexford Circuit Court pleaded guilty only after a jury was sworn in to deal with his case. The jury was not then required to hear evidence of how the Co Wexford man encouraged her to take the drug repeatedly over a period of at least five weeks.
