I’m a fashion writer and this Amazon page is full of on-trend fashion
I’m always incredibly impressed by those Instagram influencers who seem to find all the best fashion finds on Amazon. But I think I might have uncovered their secret.
The Drop is Amazon’s inside source for style inspiration and trending fashion and it’s jam-packed with chic wardrobe essentials that look as though they’re straight from the high street. Essentially Amazon’s ‘own label’, The Drop features a selection of trend-led pieces and capsule wardrobe favourites.
They even limited edition ‘drops’ designed alongside stylish social media influencers, which often sell out in days. On the landing page, shoppers can find curated edits which are only available for a limited time, as well as more classic staples which are available year-round.

Currently, the flash edits include ‘tropics calling’ in the form of resort-ready pieces styled by kirasfashionfinds, as well as denim favourites as chosen by jariatudanita and sunkissed statements picked by what.alexa.wore. The page even flags new releases and the most popular styles, with fans able to sign up for notifications of the latest ‘drops’.
Shoppers can search through the various categories, including clothing, accessories and shoes and fully stock their wardrobe for the next season. Our fashion experts have taken a look at The Drop to find the best picks that look as though they could be from M&S, River Island and more.
Here’s what we’re adding to our basket:
Dia Mixed Fabric Midi Tank Dress
This style of dress is completely timeless, ageless and seasonless, meaning it can be worn year-round for a whole host of occasions. What’s more, it comes in sizes XXS to 5XL, meaning it will fit a range of sizes and flatter most figures. Coming in at £54.90, it’s cheaper than this similar-looking dress at Sweaty Betty, which is £100.
Designed with a fitted bodice and relaxed silhouette, the dress has a boat neckline and everyone’s favourite functional feature – pockets. Available in black, navy and khaki, it’s made of 79 per cent cotton and has received rave reviews from shoppers.
One said: “This dress is beautiful, very good quality material and it has pockets! I usually wear XXS and this dress was true to size. Not too long either, I’m 5’4 and it reached my ankles. Hope this helps!”
Another added: “Saw Sabrina Chazen recommend this dress on IG. Incredibly comfortable, the top is super stretchy material and the skirt is a more structured stiff cotton with pockets.
“Have been impressed with the quality of construction of items from The Drop line and this piece is well made as well. I’m on the shorter side (5’4”) and the dress is definitely more on the maxi length, so I may get it hemmed just a few inches.”
But some have said the maxi length was ‘too long’, leaving a three star review which read: “The dress is of good quality and well made, unfortunately, it was too long for me, it is probably only suitable as models for women over 1.75.”
Addison Soft Volume Top-Handle Bag
Another of our top finds is The Drop Women’s Addison Soft Volume Top-Handle Bag, which comes in at £32.90. Made in smooth faux leather, it features a ruched handle and comes in a range of colours to match any outfit. Our personal favourite is the bone shade, followed by timeless black, both of which go with basically anything already in your wardrobe.
Described as ‘buttery soft and surprisingly roomy’ by shoppers, the accessory could easily pass for designer , and is said to be ‘very sleek and trendy. Some have found it to be small, but it’s ideal for a small purse and lipstick for date night.
ESMA Linen Vest
Waistcoats remain a major trend this season and linen is the perfect fabric for the warmer weather. This particular one comes in ivory, black and olive , costing £39.90. Said to be ‘neither loose nor clingy’, the vest is perfect for elevating your vacation wardrobe and is so easy to dress up or down.
The vest has earned a 4.1 star rating from shoppers who say it goes well with denim, skirts, shorts and more. One wrote: “I would’ve gotten this top in ivory if it was available in my size, but it wasn’t so I went with olive oil (green). I’m actually happy with the colour!
“It pairs easily with denim and complements my skin tone well. This linen top is comfortable, cute and boxy. I will probably be wearing it all summer long.”
Another added: “Slightly loose fit and very comfortable. Can be worn alone or over a shirt. Vest is slightly cropped, but not super short- I love the length. True to size, I’m 5’5” and 130 and ordered medium. Will look great with jeans or shorts.”
But others found the sizing ‘way off’, commenting: “The materials and construction of this vest are great! It’s a well-made garment. The buttons are functional so you can wear it open or closed. The linen blend material is light and great for warmer weather. However, the fit was way off for me which was a massive disappointment.”
Pepper Ballet Flat With Bow
Ballet pumps are back and like many other fashion fans, I’m desperate to add a pair to my wardrobe. There are so many styles to choose from, including leather and studded styles, but one more contemporary take on the trend is the mesh ballet pump – which is way more wearable than you might think.
The mesh ballet flats have been popularised in large part by designer brand Alaia, with their fishnet flats being inspired by classical Japanese footwear. At £650, they’re quite the investment, but these Pepper Ballet Flat with Bow are a great affordable rival.
Coming in sizes 3-10, including half sizes, the black ballet flats are a staple you’ll be able to match up with anything. Treat them as a closed-toe alternative to your black sandals. One shopper said: “Love these, they are cute, comfortable and go with anything.”
“These shoes are stylish and very comfortable,” added another. “They offer a little support but not much. I don’t recommend wearing them if you’re going for a long walk. Very good for the office. Will be buying in other colours.
“Price value is great. The fit is true to size. With ballet flats I usually have to order a half size up. I did not have to with these shoes.”
Frida Relaxed Fit Jeans
A wide-leg jean is the silhouette of the season, with shoppers ditching skinny jeans in favour of the breezy denim style. This particular pair cost £47.50 and come in sizes 2-38. Made from 95% cotton with a little bit of elastane for stretch, they boast a slightly baggy, relaxed fit, but are still smart enough to dress up.
One shopper said: “These are now my “formal” jeans … going out for lunch, or shopping, or sporting events. I have only worn them 3 or 4 times so far, and every time I get compliments and questions about where to get them.”
“They were a bit long so I shortened about 1.5 inches, and they are perfect,” said another. “Even my husband tells me I look great, and these are his favourite jeans, too.”
While a third commented: “The quality and fit of these jeans exceeded my expectations. I was reluctant to try the wide-leg jean but after trying them on I can’t wait to show them off. I just added a little style to my wardrobe !”
However, some struggled to work out their size, commenting: “Couldn’t figure out my size. I had to return as they were huge.” However, there is a size guide available to help you work it out.
I personally had no idea it would be so easy to find such on-trend and eBay-to-wear pieces on Amazon – I will be bookmarking The Drop for when my wardrobe needs a refresh.
