The crash occurred just hours after Grace McSweeney (18), Zoey Coffey (18), and Nicole Murphy (18), received their Leaving Cert results and were being driven by Grace’s brother Luke to catch a bus for a Leaving Cert party.

Excessively-worn rear tyres, speed and a road left treacherous after torrential downpours were key factors in a horrific road traffic crash in Tipperary, which claimed four young lives.

Tipperary Coroner Joseph Kelly returned a verdict of accidental death for four young people, three of whom had just receiving their Leaving Cert results and were on their way to a celebration party when the horrific collision occurred last August in Clonmel.
