Indiana Tech Women’s Basketball hosts Elite Camp
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Indiana Tech Women’s Basketball hosted its annual elite camp on Sunday, June 30.
The camp saw players as old as seniors to as young as eighth graders.
It served as a recruitment tool for the team and allowed them to see and evaluate talent up close.
This was the fifth year for the event on campus, and around 35 athletes registered and participated from multiple different states.
Athletes worked through offensive and defensive drills, got a tour of campus, and in the final hour, played pickup games.
Play in the camp can directly lead to offers from the warriors and head coach Jessie Biggs feels the camp is especially important to their recruiting process.
“It’s huge, it really is, and we really try to get our current players here and teams, so they get to meet,” Biggs said. “For us, that culture and continuity of a group is huge. It’s a really good chance to meet people more in depth and on a personal level.”
Indiana Tech Women’s Basketball will be back in action this Fall for the 2024-25 season.
