Inside Jessica O’Mahony’s ‘absolutely class’ experience at Taylor Swift concert

JESSICA O’MAHONY admitted she ‘still can’t get over’ being at Taylor Swift’s concert at the Aviva Stadium.

The wife of Ireland and Munster star Peter O’Mahony shared a host of photos from the gig to her Instagram.

The American music icon drew capacity crowds to Lansdowne Road on each of the three nights of the Irish leg of her ‘Eras’ tour.

Amongst them was Jessica, who went to the show with Sarah Foley and her daughters.

O’Mahony said: “Still not over Taylor Swift! Absolutely class!!!”

Irish sports stars were out in force for the concerts, including Shane Lowry.

On night two of the US megastar’s takeover of Dublin, Shane, wife Wendy and their daughters were among the lucky ones to have snagged tickets.

In her Instagram post recapping the magical evening, Wendy joked Shane was ‘Taylor’s latest recruit’.

Amusingly, one Johnny Sexton empathised in the comments section as he replied: “It happens to the best of us!”

He, Brian O’Driscoll and Rory Best were all back in a stadium they know all too well from their playing days to witness the show too.

On Wednesday, Republic of Ireland manager Eileen Gleeson revealed that she had gifted tickets to her entire squad.

Ireland face England and France next week in the final Euro 2025 qualifiers which are, unusually, in mid-July, because of the Olympic Games

Travis Kelce treated himself to a $44,300 Rolex during $88,100 shopping spree as he enjoyed Taylor Swift’s English dates

It led Gleeson to arrange some summer training camps, but wanted to reward them too as the FAI’s tenancy at the Aviva meant she could get her hands on some precious Eras Tour tickets

Gleeson said: “We had a great pre-prep camp and they had the highlight of their life to go to the Taylor Swift concert, so that was good.

“I’ll tell you what… It was the coup of the year.

“The girls, they really enjoyed it, it was the highlight of the camp.

“It was good, it was a good vibe, the girls were excellent, the workrate was excellent and it was a nice little acknowledgement of their commitment in the off-season to give up holidays and do the extra bit.

“They were very happy.

“It was good to have them together, have the extra sessions and then they are off in pre-season now, so they are not coming from zero to 100.

“We only have three sessions before playing England and we know they are in a very detailed preparation camp.”

It wasn’t just the attendees who were blown away by the experience – Taylor Swift was too.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old said: “I knew as soon as I saw the first Dublin crowd on Friday night that we were in for a wild weekend… the spirit of those three glorious crowds embodied fun and joy and exuberance, and we just felt so lucky to be there.
