Inside McCabe’s ‘incredible week’ at five-star resort with rooms for up to €900
KATIE McCABE gave her Instagram followers an inside look at her sun-soaked week spent at a five-star resort in Greece.
The Republic of Ireland captain spent time at the Nautilux Hotel in Réthimnon, a city on the north coast of the island of Crete.
She was there at the same time as Jordan Nobbs, an England international who plays her club football for Aston Villa and who is a former Arsenal teammate of McCabe’s.
The resort, among other things, boasts a poolside bar; car, boat, private boat, and yacht rentals; limo services, and helicopter sightseeing.
The various rooms come with the likes of a hot tub, garden views, ocean views, and heated plunge pools.
A two-night stay for two adults at the hotel can cost from €226 for a standard room, to a most expensive price of €911 a night for the Nautilux Suite with Hot Tub & Sea View.

Alongside a selection of photos and videos of her stay, McCabe said: “An incredible week in Greece thank you @nautiluxhotel for the most amazing stay – perfect place to rest and recover”
In the comments, Ireland teammate Lily Agg quipped: “Pleased to see there is sun cream featured
“Hope you are both restored”
Arsenal teammate Caitlin Foord said: “I’m coming to the yard” while Australia and West Ham star Mackenzie Arnold added: “yeah the lux”
Jordan Nobbs herself commented: “Tanned little chickens”
The holiday comes following a busy season for both club and country for the 28-year-old.
Where the Gunners are concerned, the Dubliner helped Jonas Eidevall’s side finish third in the Women’s Super League and once again win the Conti Cup.
On the international front, she followed up captaining the Girls in Green at the World Cup to spearheading them to a perfect UEFA Nations League campaign.
The latter led to Eileen Gleeson being appointed as Ireland manager, having taken interim charge for the Nations League following Vera Pauw’s acrimonious exit.
The wins. and goals, have dried up since then, however, with Gleeson’s charges still to score in 2024 after six games played.
Two of those were friendlies – a 0-0 draw with Italy and 2-0 win over Wales.
That led into the Euro 2025 qualifying campaign, in which they have so far lost to England (2-0) and Sweden (3-0) in Dublin, France (1-0) in Metz, and Sweden (1-0) again, Stockholm.
Those results leave Ireland rooted to the bottom of their pool and out of contention for automatic qualification.
Fortunately, they are guaranteed a play-off courtesy of their Nations League record, but will be keen to end the qualifiers on a high in order to boost their seeding potential.

Their next task will see them travel to Carrow Road – the home of Norwich City – to face the Lionesses on July 12, followed by the visit of France to Pairc Ui Chaoimh on July 16.
McCabe will be absent for Ireland’s trip to face the reigning European Champions England, however, owing to a yellow card she picked up in Stockholm.
