Ireland has a new millionaire after lucky Lotto player bags €1m jackpot

Ireland has a new millionaire after one lucky punter scooped the Lotto Plus 1 jackpot worth €1 million in Wednesday night’s draw.

In total, over 59,000 players in Ireland won prizes in last night’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including one lucky punter who matched all six numbers plus the bonus in the Lotto Plus 1 draw to bag the €1 million jackpot.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday June 5 Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 17, 25, 27, 33, 37, 43 and the bonus was 01.

Players are being urged to check their tickets to see if they have won the life-changing prize, with the National Lottery set to reveal where the winning ticket was sold in the coming days.

The winner, who now has a ticket worth €1 million, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their life-changing prize in Lotto HQ.

Meanwhile, in the main Lotto draw, the numbers called were: 8, 12, 13, 16, 21, 35 and the bonus was 10.

The jackpot in this draw, which was worth €4.1 million, went unclaimed, but 13 players did correctly match five numbers to win €1,740 each.

And in Wednesday’s Lotto Plus 2 draw, the numbers to look out for are: 16, 17, 21, 33, 34, 43 and 42. The €250,000 jackpot in this draw also went unclaimed, but 11 players did win the Match 5 prize worth €250.

There were also 63 winners of the Raffle Prize, with player receiving €500. The winning raffle number drawn was 1937.

Wednesday night’s jackpot win comes after a Lotto player in Westmeath bagged the top prize of €250,000 in Saturday’s Lotto Plus 2 draw.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw at Mulligan’s Londis and PO on the Roscommon Road in Athlone.

The Westmeath punter wasn’t the only Lotto player to win big in Saturday’s draw after an online player in Louth matched five numbers and the bonus in the main draw to bag €49,253.
