One of Ireland’s most prominent football agents was fined following a Football Associa­tion (FA) charge of breaching rules for intermediaries after he concealed his role in representing an Irish player who was renewing his contract with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Graham Barrett, a former ­Arsenal and Ireland international whose clients include goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu and managers Damien Duff and Stephen Bradley, was fined £1,000 (€1,182) in the May 2022 ruling by the FA’s ­regulatory commission.
