Is Jennifer Lopez’s solo trip the final blow to her marriage?
Jennifer Lopez‘s marriage to Ben Affleck has been hit with a string of woes, with repeated rumours that the couple’s relationship has hit the rocks after just two years together.
The singer has had her fair share of blows in recent weeks, with the news that she has cancelled her tour to focus her family, and a new album which failed to make an impact on the charts.
Now, the star has been pictured on a solo getaway to Italy, sparking speculation that this could the final nail in the coffin to her doomed marriage.
The Atlas actress, 54, and 51-year-old Oscar winner have yet to announce they are divorcing but sources tell DailyMail.com that they will likely drop the bad news on the Friday before 4th of July.
Is Jennifer and Ben’s marriage beyond the point of salvage? MailOnline takes a look at the woes that hint one of Hollywood’s most high-profile marriages may be over…
J-Lo’s solo break
Despite her recent marital woes, Jennifer appeared to be in high spirits as she boarded a boat during her relaxing getaway to Italy.
The star showed off her incredible figure in the yellow co-ord as she soaked up the sunshine in Sorrento.
Jennifer was noticeably solo for the holiday, with Ben appearing to stay back in the US, sparking speculation that their marriage is beyond repair.
While Jennifer topped up her tan, Ben was pictured enjoying some quality time with his children, as he took a ride on his electric motorbike with his son Samuel, 12.
Both father and son wore helmets during their afternoon ride — which comes less than two weeks after Samuel’s elementary school graduation.
Experts fear the worst
On Tuesday, Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger said that Jennifer will be left ‘depressed’ in the aftermath of her split from Ben.
‘It’s much easier for the guy to get [a woman], so JLo’s probably going to be really depressed to try to date someone else,’ she told DailyMail.com exclusively.
‘There’s not enough quality men for women. [Men] are spoiled, their egos get inflated and men age better.
‘Gisele [Bundchen] is gorgeous. JLo’s gorgeous. They’re probably the two people going standard in the aging department.
‘But women breed, men go to the next one to get over their feelings. It’s a whole different dynamic.’
Stanger’s prediction comes after popular TV host and addiction specialist Dr. Drew speculated that their relationship may have crumbled because of her ‘love addiction.’
In the latest episode of TMZ Investigates, titled JLo and Ben: Missed Warning Signs, film producer Jon Peters, 79, stated: ‘She’s a love addict, look at the men she’s been with. She can’t be alone.
‘She needs a man in her life, she has never spent any real time developing herself.’
The ex-wife steps in
Amid rumours that Ben and Jennifer’s divorce is imminent, it’s been reported that his ex-wife Jennifer Garner is trying to ‘fix’ his fractured marriage.
‘JLo has been confiding in Jen because she knows that she is one of the only people in the world who would understand what she is going through,’ the source told DailyMail.com.
‘She has been through it with the same man herself and although the circumstances were quite different it is still the same man and they both dealt with some of the same issues.’
Garner has also been pictured heading to Ben’s Beverly Hills mansion on multiple occasions, but sources claim her current partner John Miller has told her it is ‘not her responsibility’ to fix the marriage.
Selling their homes
Last month, Ben and JLo listed their Bel Air, California mega mansion for $65 million, but it still yet to sell, according to TMZ.
The site spoke with real estate agents that have insisted the price is on target and should not be an issue.
That $65M price tag is $4M more than they paid for it; it has often been reported that the property cost the couple $60M, but they actually snapped it up for $60.850M.

Neither Jen nor Ben wanted to keep the dwelling for different reasons: she felt it was too big and he thought it was too far from his kids in Brentwood.
‘Ben never liked the house. It’s too far away from his kids,’ an insider close to Lopez told People.
The Gone Girl star co-parents his three children Samuel, 12, Fin, 15 and Violet, 18, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who lives in the Pacific Palisades.
Meanwhile, the singer, who shares 16-year-old twins Emme and Max from prior marriage to Marc Anthony, feels the 12-bedroom house is simply ‘way too big for her.’
The pair, who are rumored to have been ‘living apart’ for weeks, famously toured more than 80 properties together to find the perfect place to live with their blended family.
Affleck and Lopez hired realtor Santiago Arana, from The Agency, to sell the property.
A source told TMZ that their realtor has been ‘showing the house for around two weeks’ but has not secured a buyer yet.
The insider reported that ‘they’re asking around $65 million for the house.’
With the ‘significant money’ the duo put into improvements, the outlet said they would be taking a ‘loss of millions of dollars.’
TMZ also reported that Lopez is ‘already looking for a new house’ as Affleck stays at a 100K-per-month rental in Brentwood, near Garner.
DailyMail.com reported that photographs of their marital home’s lavish interior have popped up on realtor websites after being removed following the property’s sale to the couple last May.
DailyMail.com determined that these new photos were uploaded to real estate site Zillow.com on June 1 and June 5. The house is still listed as sold.
‘Over’ saving their marriage
Last week DailyMail.com reported that Jennifer is ‘over’ trying to make her marriage with Ben work.
Amid rumours about the status of the couple’s marriage, an industry insider has now claimed that the pop star has reached her wit’s end and no longer feels that she can do any ‘more’ to save the relationship.
‘Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse,’ a music industry source told DailyMail.com.
The insider add that the main reason JLo left her husband was because he was always ‘grumpy and negative’ like Oscar The Grouch from Sesame Street.
Jennifer is sad about the end of her nuptials but ‘is trying to make the best of it by working out, spending time with her twins Max and Emme and making new plans for 2025,’ they went on.
Lifestyle clashes
As rumours first circulated that Ben and JLo’s marriage had hit the rocks, a source claimed that Jennifer ‘overextends herself.’
The source went on to state that Ben ‘doesn’t agree with Jennifer’s lifestyle’ and now feels ‘worn down’ by their marriage.
Ben is said to have ‘checked out’ of their relationship and the insider added that he and Jennifer are on ‘two completely different pages most of the time.’
Another source close to Jennifer suggested the couple’s work commitments have also caused a rift, saying, ‘both have demanding careers that often require them to be in different cities.’
With the pair forced to spend time apart in recent months as a result of their careers – she went to NYC for the Met Gala and to shoot Kiss Of The Spider Woman while he was in LA shooting The Accountant 2 – the insider said the absence ‘highlighted the emotional and physical distance between them.’
They said: ‘Over time, Jennifer and Ben found it increasingly difficult to communicate effectively, and small misunderstandings grew into significant arguments.
‘They have fundamentally different approaches to conflict’, the insider added, explaining that Jennifer prefers to confront issues head-on, while Ben isn’t as quick to open up.
Cancelled tour
Earlier this month, Jennifer announced that she had canceled her tour ‘to be with her children and family’ after her album flopped and her Netflix movie Atlas was panned by critics.

A source told DailyMail.com that Lopez was sad to be dropping out of the tour, which was selling well, but needed to be home at this time.
‘She’s taking time off to be with family and close friends,’ said the insider as they noted she had been rehearsing often for the show and was ready to commit, but felt it was time for a break.
‘This was a very difficult decision made by Jennifer this week and she’s sorry to her fans.’
This decision was not made around ticket sales as the tour was actually doing well in most key cities and there had been a good uptick, a source told DailyMail.com.
Album flop
After rekindling her romance with Ben – who she finally married in 2022 – Lopez started plotting her first album in ten years, This Is Me… Now, which would be accompanied by both a sprawling movie musical and an intimate behind-the-scenes documentary.
Unable to find funding for the project, she coughed up her own cash to pay for the $20million vanity project.
This Is Me… Now: A Love Story was released on February 16, along with the accompanying album.
Despite the bucket loads of publicity that the film generated, it failed to translate into album sales, with This Is Me… Now limping onto the Billboard 200 at No. 38 before dropping off the charts completely.
