‘It couldn’t get worse’ cry fans as Rafferty’s caught in bed in honeymoon suite

RTE Fair City’s Hayley and James caught Rafferty getting it on in their honeymoon suite.

Tonight on the hit soap, at the wedding reception, Hayley noticed more flirting between Sharon and Rafferty and ordered James to speak to his father.

Sharon was irked when Hayley confronted her about the flirting and denied the accusation.

Rafferty was equally exasperated when James scolded him for flirting and resented being dictated to.

Leo and Anto were bemused by Emma’s overpriced trendy wedding cake.

Hayley and James commiserated over the day’s chaos but decided to steal away to their honeymoon suite for some respite.

Georgie let slip Damien’s theory of Dean being Laura’s killer to a shocked Anto.

Hayley and James were horrified when they found Emma and Rafferty in bed together in their honeymoon suite.

And RTE viewers couldn’t believe their eyes.

Sinead tweeted: “Sweet baby Jesus.”

Ciara remarked: “Oh lord.”

One viewer said: “Ah here! Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse!”

Another wrote: “Ffs… it’s worse if that’s possible.”

Elsewhere tonight, a drunk Damien rejected Mairead’s plea to come home. Mairead was stunned when Tommy informed her of Damien’s outburst at Dean.

Liam was concerned when he learned that Fergal was meeting with the teens from the youth group.

Mairead’s worry grew when she couldn’t contact Damien. An inebriated Damien turned up at the wedding reception.

Damien hijacked the mic and made a speech condemning love and ending his marriage to a shocked Mairead.

DRUNK DAMIEN

A scuffle with Leo on his way out saw Damien wreck the wedding cake.

Tommy was taken aback when Mairead suggested that Damien may be right, and they didn’t belong together.

Liam agreed to let Fergal return to the youth outreach, but made it clear this is his last chance.

Damien was floored when Mairead admitted she’s not sure if they should be married anymore.

UPSET ZOE

Meanwhile, an upset Zoe felt pressured by Dearbhla and Nora to return to the self-defence classes.

Zoe was buoyed by Anna’s reminder to be easy on herself.

An enthusiastic Zoe suggested that they restructure the class as women-only and persuadesdAnna to take on the role of instructor.

Gar apologised to Zoe for triggering her, but she assured him he’s not to blame.
