IWG to open three new locations in Monaghan, Louth

International Workplace Group (IWG) has plans to open three new locations in the border counties of Louth and Monaghan over the coming months.

The company operates through brands such as Space, Regus and HQ.

The latest expansion here is part of the company’s initiative to offer office facilities across Ireland, accommodating the growing trend of hybrid working.

The new locations in Dundalk and Drogheda in Co Louth and Clones in Co Monaghan will operate under partnership agreements with the buildings’ owners, who have invested in the International Workplace Group platform to create a branded flexible workspace in their buildings.

International Workplace Group saw significant expansion last year as it added 867 new locations worldwide and posted the highest revenue in its 35-year history.

It recently opened Spaces in Donnybrook House in Dublin 4 and its first HQ branded location in Blanchardstown. It will open in Regus at Temple House in Blackrock, Co Dublin in August and new offices will also open in Clonmel (Regus) and Limerick (HQ) soon.

IWG said today that Bru Digital Hub in Drogheda is in the process of being rebranded as Regus Drogheda. The 7,300 square feet building will offer co-working space, hotdesks, private offices and a café.

Opening in August or September, HQ’s new offices in Dundalk will be located in a fully refurbished Georgian building on Roden Place, opposite Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The building will provide business suites, across three stories, in an area where there is in an established hub of commercial activity.

Its new site in Clones will be located in the Marian Industrial Estate in an 8,000 square foot office building owned by Barry J Aughey, which will operate under International Workplace Group’s HQ brand.

Opening at the end of the year, Clones HQ will be located on the ground floor of a newly renovated building and provide space for established firms and start-ups across a range of industries. Facilities will include private offices, meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces.

Mark Dixon, CEO and founder of International Workplace Group, said the company is establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Ireland with these planned openings.

“As an important business hub, Ireland is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans. The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal,” Mr Dixon said.

“We are very pleased to work in partnership with David Courtney in Dundalk and Drogheda, and Barry J Aughey in Clones under management agreements that will add cutting-edge workspaces to their buildings,” he said.

He said the company’s locations in Dundalk, Drogheda and Clones comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working boosts employee happiness and satisfaction, while helping the environment.

“Our workplace model is also proven to increase productivity and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs,” he added.
