Jennifer Zamparelli’s first public outing since RTE exit enjoying Galway holiday
Former RTÉ star Jennifer Zamaparelli has enjoyed a wonderful family trip to Galway as she unwound after her surprise decision to leave the broadcaster last month.
The Dublin woman gave fans an insight into her fun-packed family holiday on social media and she had a ball of a time, promising: “We’ll be back!”
Jennifer had been at RTÉ for a decade and presented her own show from 9-12pm weekdays on 2FM since 2019 but left the station six weeks ago and was replaced by Galway woman Laura Fox.

Since then, Jennifer has taken to her extra time off the airways by visiting the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal and attending the Beyond the Pale festival in Glendalough, Co. Wicklow.
Her most recent trip, with husband Lau, daughter Florence, son Enzo and their dog Snoop, was to Galway. “We stayed at the stunning Glenlo Abbey lodges. Modern, clean, extremely spacious and Snoop Dog was welcome,” Jennifer posted on Instagram.
“I found Galway city very dog friendly. Connell’s bar allow dogs inside but they also have a maaahoosive garden out back that serves food! We loved this,” she continued.
“We had a swim in Silverstrand beach about 10 mins from the hotel. So lovely with showers and nice toilets! We had beach to ourself for ages. Fab.”
“On a day trip to Salthill and walked the promenade. Had a lovely coffee in Jungle cafe right on beach. We had excellent pizza with great outdoor seating for us and Snoop at Magnettis in Salthill.”
“Thanks Galway.. we’ll be back!” she added. A top hotel, a swim and a pizza in Salthill would be a very tough holiday to beat.
“So glad you enjoyed your trip west! Hopefully I’ll see you next time,” one follower commented.
“Miss you, Jen. You were fantastic on the radio but I’m so glad you are enjoying your best time,” another wrote.
