Jim Culloty’s North Cork home and equestrian estate hits the market for €4.5m
Jim Culloty, one of Ireland’s most famous jockeys and racehorse trainers, has put his stunning Georgian North Cork home and purpose-built equestrian estate on the market for a cool €4,500,000.
The Grand National winner bought Mount Corbitt House in Churchtown, Mallow nearly 25 years ago and added on enormous horse training facilities to the already sprawling estate.
At over 78 hectares (193 acres), there’s absolutely no shortage of space on the property. The land is comprised of several buildings, grassland, woodland and roadways.
The main period house takes up 5,700 square feet and there are also two additional staff properties included. The training facility has 47 stables and there are an additional five stables at Ballygrace Stable Yard.
The grounds have been home to some massively successful race horses – Lord Windermere, winner of the 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup, was trained on the property.
The home itself has has six bedrooms five bathrooms spread out over four floors. The house has both formal and informal living room and dining room areas
