Jurgen Klopp’s admission on Anfield return after ‘great night’
Jurgen Klopp has made a surprising admission following his Anfield return.
The former Liverpool manager returned to the stadium last night for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert. The German enjoyed the first night of three alongside his wife Ulla Sandrock in a hospitality box in the Main Stand.
It was the first time Klopp has returned to Liverpool since he left the club last month following emotional scenes at Anfield and also the M&S Bank Arena as he bid farewell to fans.

Klopp has been reflecting on his Anfield returning and made a shock admission by posting: “I guess I am officially a ‘Swiftie’.”
Before his trip to Anfield, Klopp issued a message to Taylor Swift on his official Instagram account.
In a post captioned ‘Going back to a place I know ‘All Too Well’… See you at Anfield @TaylorSwift,’ Klopp said: “So! Back in Liverpool and now it’s Taylor time.
“So three things I had to do today. No I had two. A barber appointment with Umut then… we’re going out to Anfield. First time going to not for a football game but in the stands and watching Taylor Swift. So yeah, I’m not Taylor made obviously… but Taylor ready.
“Let’s go to Anfield and have a good night. A great night would be cool. See you there.”
Taylor was blown away by the welcome she received from the Liverpool crowd.
The world’s biggest popstar took to the stage at Anfield on Thursday night for the first of three shows in L4. Merseyside had been battered with heavy rain in the lead up to the show but the sold out crowd refused to let it dampen their spirits as they gave the 34-year-old a huge ovation when she appeared on stage.
Taylor pointed at each section of the crowd and received more huge cheers before she went on to perform the first song. She said: “I’m not going to lie.
“That went straight to my head. I mean you just made me feel really, really powerful.” Taylor was thrilled to get the show underway as she added: “Liverpool welcome to the Eras tour.
“This is my very first time getting to play a show in Liverpool.” Fans have travelled far and wide to enjoy the show tonight and she praised them for their support.
She said: “I just want to say those things mean the world to us getting to play the show for people who would go so far above and beyond for us and welcome us to Liverpool in such a fashion.
“We love you so much.” Taylor also shared an exciting announcement as she revealed the show broke the all time attendance record at Anfield.
More than 150,000 Swifties are expected in the city for the sold out Eras Tour concerts at Anfield Stadium, on Thursday, June 13, Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15.
Taylor will perform for the second time at Anfield tonight. Some Swifties have already started queuing up at the stadium this morning to get the best view in the standing areas for tonight’s gig.
