Prince William to miss Kate Middleton’s kiss at his big event

Kensington Palace has issued update on Kate Middleton’s health ahead of Prince William’s big event.

The Prince of Wales is said to be upset as the Princess Kate will not join him during a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, where they previously shared a kiss.

Kate and William’s office has provided an update on Kate’s health and confirmed that she won’t make an appearance alongside the future King at Friday’s event.

In 2023, Princess Kate graced the event, presenting her husband with a trophy and greeting him with a kiss.

It will be the 13th time William has played in the polo fixture, which is set to generate £1 million this year and take the total amount raised over the years to more than £13 million.

The Princess of Wales, who was diagnosed with cancer this year and has stepped back from all royal duties as she focuses on her health. Kate only made one public appearance in 2024 at Trooping the Colour on June 15.

The royal is awaiting her doctor’s advice on whether she is well enough to attend Wimbledon. Kate normally presents the trophies to the men’s and women’s singles winners at the tennis tournament.

Royal aides have confirmed the Princess will not attend a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, according to Express UK.

However, Wimbledon and the Palace have not provided update on whether Kate will be at the tennis competition before Saturday.

A source previously told The Daily Beast that the Princess of Wales would “dearly love” to attend Wimbledon at the weekend and present the trophies to the winners.
