Katie Boulter: ‘The British tennis girls are all very close’
Boulter was born in Leicestershire. Her mother, Susan, a tennis coach, also played for Great Britain. She began playing the game aged five, turned professional in 2013 and won the San Diego Open in March, the biggest win of her career, which put her in the WTA top 30 singles rankings for the first time. She lives in London and has been dating the Australian player Alex de Minaur since 2020.
Alex and I stay together near the All England Club with our support teams during the Wimbledon championships, which start next Monday. Our families will drop in too but the focus is very much on tennis. On the days I’m not playing a match I’m up at 9.30am, brush my teeth and go looking
