With his upcoming $104 million USD salary, it will take him over the $500 million USD earnings cap. At the moment, there is no other NBA player that has even reached $400 million USD in earnings just yet. A lot of James’ earning also comes from his endorsement deals and other business ventures off the court.

With his Beats deal, he made $30 million USD when Apple purchased the company for $3 billion USD in 2014. On the court, James recently set major records, including becoming the only player to have 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists. He is also the leader in playoff wins and the league’s all-time scoring leader. Currently, James is gearing up for the upcoming Olympics in Paris.
