Leeds United in negotiations to sign £7m-rated Jayden Bogle

Leeds United and Sheffield United are some distance apart on a valuation of Jayden Bogle, according to Alan Nixon.

As reported by Mike McGrath via X (13 July), the Whites are interested in the 23-year-old, who was recently relegated from the Premier League with the Blades.

However, Nixon has reported via his Patreon (14 July) that Sheffield United want £7million for Bogle.

Leeds are keen to sign a right-back to bolster Daniel Farke’s options in that position.

This would be quite the coup for the Whites.

Having lost both Connor Roberts and Archie Gray this summer, the club are in desperate need of a new right-back ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

And Bogle could be the perfect addition having spent the entirety of last season in the Premier League, scoring three goals across 34 appearances.

That top-flight experience might therefore prove vital as Farke looks to guide the Whites back to the Premier League at the second time of asking.

However, £7million is a considerable amount of money for the club to spend on a right-back.

As a result, they could look to try and bring the price down, which might be possible due to Bogle entering the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane.

They would then need to convince the player himself that Elland Road is the right destination for him.

Despite the Blades’ struggles last season, the defender might feel that his current club have a good chance of returning to the Premier League, and might therefore not be in a rush to leave.

It seems like there is a lot of work left to do regarding this transfer, but it could be work which is worth Leeds putting in.

In other Leeds United news, the club are now ready to grant permission for one star forward to leave.
