LFC fans create song for Ulla as Klopp shares ‘best decision’

Liverpool FC fans created a new song for Jurgen Klopp’s wife, Ulla, after an emotional evening at the M&S Bank Arena.

The 56-year-old’s incredible nine years in charge of the Reds came to an end tonight with a special event at the waterfront arena. An Evening with Jurgen Klopp saw the iconic manager share stories from his remarkable reign at the club.

The German took part in a Q&A, hosted by John Bishop and Peter McDowall, as he reflected on his special connection with supporters. Klopp branded his move to take the LFC job in October 2015 as the best he ever made, second only to marrying Ulla.

The married couple have developed a special bond with the city and have become renowned in their local community of Formby for their charitable acts of kindness. Back in April 2020, Klopp’s wife handed out £1,000 worth of food vouchers to supermarket staff as a “thank you” for working on the frontline.

The touching random act of kindness happened when Ulla went into Waitrose in Formby and suddenly distributed the gifts. The ECHO understands 20 separate £50 vouchers for the store were individually passed by the Liverpool manager’s wife to those on the shop floor at the time.

Ulla has played a key part in her manager husband’s decision to come to the club as legendary centre half Phil Thompson has previously revealed she was key in convincing Klopp to join Liverpool over Manchester United. The LFC fans showed their appreciation for Ulla at the end of tonight’s event at the M&S Bank Arena.
