Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown, Cowboys’ Jourdan Lewis Exchange Barbs amid Apparent Beef
The Dallas Cowboys will host the Detroit Lions in Week 6 of the 2024 NFL regular season, and that contest might carry some extra spice.
Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was a guest on the newest episode of The Pivot Podcast. At the 47:56 mark, he was asked to name his “least favorite” defensive back for one reason or another, and he cited the Dallas Cowboys’ Jourdan Lewis as a candidate.
St. Brown said Lewis was “talking crazy, like some s–t I’ve never heard before” during a game last year.
“He was talking crazy out of pocket,” the two-time Pro Bowler said. “Even [Lions wideout Jameson Williams] heard it too. He was coming in. At that point it’s like, I don’t know what he’s saying. I’m trying to make plays, win the game. I’m not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that it’s like alright, if I do get a chance to kill him, I’ma kill him.”
Lewis, who’s a native of Detroit, chimed in and said he doesn’t “want to be friends with everyone, especially a Detroit Lion not from Detroit.”
Lewis earned bragging rights when he and St. Brown last met. The Cowboys were 20-19 winners over the Lions in the penultimate week of the regular season, an outcome that prevented Detroit from claiming the top seed in the NFC.
Because of that, plenty of fans will have already circled their return bout in October, and the individual battle between Lewis and St. Brown will provide another subplot.
