Lotto player GUARANTEED to become Ireland’s next millionaire with special prize
IRISH players are set for a major Lotto boost as one punter in Ireland is guaranteed to win €1 million in tomorrow night’s draw.
Tomorrow’s jackpot is heading towards €2.5 million – but there’s an added chance of becoming a millionaire.
The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw.
But players all over the country will have the chance to win the guaranteed lump sum in the Lotto Plus Raffle tomorrow night.
Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 million – as well as the usual €500 Raffle prize.
So far this year, 18 National Lottery players have become millionaires and tomorrow night’s Lotto draw is guaranteed to see another winner added to this list.
A lotto spokesperson said: “This weekend’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €2.5 million.
“Lotto players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s next millionaire are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales on Saturday evening.”
Meanwhile, a life-changing €6.7million ticket was sold at a Lidl store in Dublin during the week.
The winning slip was purchased at the supermarket on the Ballymun Road in Dublin 9.
The lucky numbers in the draw were 1, 4, 8, 21, 27, 28 and the bonus was 34.
Lidl store manager Sun Haojun said there was “great excitement” in the area following the massive win.
He said: “There is great excitement in store this morning, we are absolutely thrilled to share this lifechanging moment with the winner and to have sold the winning ticket in Lidl Ballymun.
“On behalf of the entire team at Lidl, we want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the lucky winner.
“Not only is this incredible news for them, but it’s extremely exciting for the whole Ballymun community.”
And it has been confirmed that the lucky winner made contact with Lotto HQ to organise collecting their winnings.
