Love Island host Maya Jama has tears in her eyes during the show’s dramatic Casa Amor re-coupling, which sees several Islanders left brokenhearted.
The presenter, 29, is visibly emotional as the couples are made to decide whether they want to stay with their previous partner or pair up with a new contestant.
Viewers are already predicting heartache for Mimii Ngulube who is currently coupled up with Ayo Odukoya but the model has developed strong feelings towards bombshell Jessica Spencer, with the pair sharing a bed and passionately kissing.
Uma Jammeh has also been fretful over her reunion with Wil Anderson, who unbeknown to her, pursued his physical attraction towards Lucy Graybill.
Bosses have extended Thursday evening’s show to include all the dramatic action from the late-night filming, where Maya entered the villa wearing a red-hot latex dress.
A TV source told MailOnline: ‘Maya feels connected to the Islanders… she struggled to hide her emotion during filming of the Casa Amor re-coupling.
‘It was tough for her to see the reaction from some of the girls, who were shocked to discover the level of betrayal demonstrated by their partner.
‘Some of the couples had been together for a significant number of weeks so it was particularly painful for those to reunite under different circumstances.
‘It was one of the most dramatic Love Island episodes ever filmed, so much so, bosses had to extend the show.’
The Love Island girls left the main villa to spend the week at Casa Amor and were joined by the likes of Butler in the Buff Blade Siddiqi and personal trainer Moziah Pinder, who have both pursued model Grace Jackson.
Mimii, Uma, and Nicole Samuel have all remained faithful to their respective partners, sleeping outside on the daybeds to avoid shacking up with any of the new arrivals.
However, Mimii’s current partner Ayo has fallen for fashion stylist Jessica and Wil, coupled up with Uma, has been kissing Lucy under the covers.
Confectionery salesman Sean Stone kissed Diamanté Laiva despite sharing a bed with Ruby Dale and being in a pair with Matilda Draper.
Maya, who’s in a relationship with Stormzy, flew to Mallorca after presenting spin-off show Aftersun in the London studio.
She jetted in from Glastonbury via helicopter after partying to Coldplay and Dua Lipa’s headline sets with her rapper boyfriend, who played the festival himself in 2019.
The ITV host entered the villa wearing a £600 latex dress from brand Poster Girl which accentuated her curvaceous frame.
Styled by Rhea Francois, Maya shocked her 3.1million followers with the jaw-dropping outfit, as she teased the drama-filled installment.
However, after receiving a backlash from trolls, Maya was forced to confirm that her body is all real, writing on her Instagram story: ‘My boobs are 100 per cent natural.’
She said: ‘Also for those that are new here, I’ve never had any surgery, my weight fluctuates monthly sometimes I’m curvier, sometimes I’m skinnier but my body and boobs are 100 per cent natural. As I said before trolls… read it and weep.’
Love Island fans have been gripped by the Casa Amor action, with the show earning a high of 1.4million viewers, which is the largest audience since the series launched last month.
