Luck is in the air as three Irish Lotto players win life-changing sums

Three Lotto players have claimed their winnings after winning a massive €1million EACH in draws over the last month.

The first winner, a Dublin player who scooped up the handsome sum in the Lotto Plus 1 draw on May 18, purchased their winning ticket at Centra Oscar Court on Cromcastle Road in Kilmore, Dublin 5.

The winner admitted that they are still in disbelief even weeks after the life-changing amount, saying that they checked their ticket several times before getting the winnings.

‘I was checking a few tickets at the same time using the Check My Numbers function on the website,’ the Dublin winner said. ‘I like to type in the numbers myself but of course this time, I assumed I must have typed in a number wrong when I saw €1 million pop up.

‘I re-typed a few times and then I closed down the website entirely and re-opened it as I thought there was no way this could be real. It was the absolute shock of my life to be honest! It’s been a month since the draw and I still can’t believe it. I’m still pinching myself every time I think of it as I can’t believe it’s real.

‘I haven’t been able to even think of what I’ll do with the win but hopefully it sinks in soon and I can get planning then!’

Another Lotto Plus 1 winner, who won during the June 5 draw, said that they saw their numbers drawn live on television — meaning they saw their winnings come in in real time.

‘I’d never even think of watching the draw ever,’ they said. ‘It was 7.20pm and I remembered that I had a ticket for the draw that night so I actually put an alarm in my phone to watch it – don’t ask me why or where that even came from! But what a night to even have such a notion – I saw it live as my numbers were drawn! I can’t describe how it felt but I can tell you I had some job telling the news to family – they had no idea what I was about to say!’

Finally, a Daily Millions winner in the Sunday, June 16 draw who purchased their ticket at Nan’s Centra on the Shangan Road in Ballymun, Dublin 9 for the 9pm draw collected their winnings — manifesting their win for years.

‘I always said I was going to win and look how right I was!’ the lucky player said. ‘I would call myself a bit of a lucky person and I feel like I’ve proved that now. I have been playing for years and I have won smaller amounts in the past but of course, nothing like this. It’s not even been a week since the draw and here I am now with a cheque in front of me for €1 million! Definitely not the week I thought I’d be having and I mean that in the best possible way.’

As for the EuroMillions draw on Friday (June 21), the jackpot has rolled over to a massive estimated €195million.
