Lucky Louth couple scoop €50,000 in Euromillions draw while away on holidays

The husband and wife from Co Louth picked up the cheque for a handsome €49,253 after matching 5 numbers and the bonus on the June 1 Lotto draw, news they only heard whilst on their summer holidays!

“We’re over the moon with our win!” exclaimed the husband. “I made sure to play the Lotto two days before our holiday so I wouldn’t miss the draw. While enjoying the view from our apartment balcony, I received an email from the Lotto saying, ‘You’ve won’. I thought it might be a small prize, but when I saw the amount, I was stunned! I rushed to tell my wife, who was relaxing in the room, and she was in total shock. We’re now excitedly planning another holiday and some much-needed home improvements.”

The winning numbers in the Tuesday 25th June EuroMillions Plus draw were: 10, 24, 33 42 and 50.
