Major Ireland AM shake-up as popular host completely missing from screens

IRELAND AM had a major a shake-up this morning as Muireann O’Connell was completely absent from the show.

The Virgin Media morning show’s current weekday presenter line-up includes Muireann, Alan Hughes and Tommy Bowe.

However, Muireann is currently on holidays in Italy and was therefore missing from today’s programme.

She was replaced by Karen Koster, who left The Six O’Clock Show last November.

The 43-year-old took to Instagram to share her outfit details with fans.

In the post, Karen and Tommy smiled from ear-to-ear as they sat outside ready to talk all things Love Island with Orlaith Condon.

The Dublin native rocked a pink and orange playsuit that had a stunning belt feature. She paired the outfit with some open toed bright pink heels.

She got the outfit from Bow & Pearl and it retails on their website for €115.

However, the presenter felt her outfit was overshadowed by her microphone wire that peaked out over her shoulder for the first half of the show.

She captioned her post: “Microphone wire was hanging out for half the morning, but still so fun to be back @irelandamvmtv filling in for @muireann.o.

“A chat about Love Island with @orlaithcondon is always a win.”

Friends and fans flocked to popular presenter’s comment section with praise.

Ireladn AM host Muireann O’Connell wrote: “Like, look at this genuine happiness at Love Island chats. You’ll have to stay all summer. And I guess I’ll have to stay in Italy.”

Orlaith Condon said: “So good to see you.”

Justine gushed: “looking fabbb.”

Another fan remarked: “Looking breathtaking and awesome as usual Karen. Keep up the good work.”

Muireann has been giving fans an extensive look into her romantic getaway on her Instagram.

SUN FUN

Herself and her long-term fiance flew out the Puglia region of Italy for the “first time in six years“.

However, since the happy pair arrive to their sunshine destination it’s been chilly with grey skies.

The Limerick woman posted a few short clips of their first few nights in Puglia and joked in her caption: “Yeah, the weather is nicer at home. Fair play lads! Well deserved!”

In the first clip, Muireann revealed the jaw-dropping destination the couple were staying.

It has a beautiful drive way and large old stone walls at the front with a massive brick arch at the entrance.

Inside their apartment there was white-bricked walls all over and unique stone pillars in every room.

The interior was very modern and their bathroom looked incredibly spacious.

A separate clip showed the Irish host venturing out into the picturesque garden to read a book.

While another shot revealed the popular presenter all dolled up with a wine glass in her hand while she danced around the living area.
