Major Lotto boost as Irish player GUARANTEED to win €2,000 a month for 5 years

IRISH players are set for a major Lotto boost as one EuroDreams punter in Ireland is guaranteed to win €2,000 a month for the next five years in Thursday night’s draw.

The National Lottery will be having an extra EuroDreams game with a guaranteed prize ahead of the June Bank holiday weekend.

This Thursday’s extra EuroDreams draw will see one player in Ireland win the Tier 2 prize of €2,000 per month for five years.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said the new promotion is the second one of the year, after the Leap Day Draw saw a Dublin player win the prize.

She said: “Using our certified Random Number Generator, one winner will be selected to win the guaranteed €2,000 per month for five years on top of the usual prize they have one.

“This means that back in February, our Leap Day winner won their €2.50 prize as well as the amazing annuity prize of €2,000 per month for five years.”

Since the EuroDreams game launched in November last year, there have been two Tier 2 winners in Ireland.

On top of the Leap Day promotion winner, a Dublin woman scooped €2,000 per month for five years in the first ever draw on Monday, November 6.

EuroDreams players also have a chance of winning the games top prize on Thursday’s draw.

Sarah added:”In addition to the special guaranteed prize, let’s not forget that EuroDreams players are still in with a chance of winning the top prize of €20,000 a month for 30 years.”

To enter, tickets can be bought online or in shops for €2.50 before the cut-off time of 7.30pm ahead of the draws on Monday and Thursday evenings.

Players pick six numbers from 1-40 and one bonus number from 1-5 to make up their combination.

Any prize winner on any prize tier will be entered into a special draw on Thursday.

One of these winners will be guaranteed the special prize of €2,000 every month, in addition to their usual prize.

If you win the promotional prize on a retail ticket, a prompt requiring you to contact the National Lottery will be shown after your ticket is scanned in store or on the National Lottery app.

No tax

For digital winners, your usual prize will be credited to your online balance or directly to your card.

For the promotional bonus prizes, the National Lottery will contact you via phone or email to share the news.

These promotional annuity prizes are also tax-free, meaning winners will see every cent of their money.

However, the National Lottery will only recognise one winner of the prize, so you cannot play the game as part of a syndicate.
